Who we are

What we collect and why

• Newsletter signup: your email address, the date/time of consent, the consent wording you agreed to, and a one-way (salted) hash of your IP address — kept as proof of consent. Lawful basis: your consent.
• Bot protection: when you submit the newsletter form (and only after you accept Security cookies), Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise processes data such as your IP address and interaction signals to tell humans from bots. Lawful basis: consent / our legitimate interest in preventing abuse.

How we use your email

We use a double opt-in: after you sign up we email you a confirmation link, and we only add you to the mailing list once you click it. We then send you our newsletter until you unsubscribe. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

• SendGrid (Twilio) — our email delivery and marketing-contacts provider, used to send confirmation/newsletter emails and store confirmed contacts.
• Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise — bot/abuse protection (see our Cookie Policy).
• Sanity — our content platform, where the subscriber record is stored.

These providers may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your subscriber record while you are subscribed and for a reasonable period afterwards to honour unsubscribe requests and to evidence consent. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, or delete your data, withdraw consent, object to processing, or request portability. The quickest way to stop emails is the unsubscribe link in any email; for anything else, email info@flashsm.com.
